2014年，初始團隊從物聯網底層操作系統Ruff OS開始立項，2016年國內首款基于JavaScript開發語言的物聯網操作系統Ruff OS 1.0版本正式對外發布；2017年，公司聚焦工業物聯網賽道，先后推出工業物聯網網關系列產品、設備管理平臺Ruff  IoT以及多款細分領域產品解決方案，幫助傳統制造業客戶實現設備數據高效采集及數字化管理。公司擁有來自Intel、IBM、NVIDIA、Nokia、Cisco、阿里巴巴等企業的產品設計及研發團隊，技術研發人員占比超75%。

自2015年公司成立以來，先后榮獲極客幫、景林資本、戈壁資本及山行資本的投融資，累計融資額超3500萬，并先后榮獲上海市高新技術企業、微軟最佳價值投資獎、創客中國創新創業大賽獎、最具潛力物聯網系統等數十個行業榮譽，并先后獲得數十項技術發明專利及軟著。

Ruff 南潮物聯工業設備管理平臺（簡稱：Ruff IoT平臺）是一款包含底層物聯網操作系統Ruff OS、采集傳輸層物聯網網關Ruff Gateway以及上層軟件應用層Ruff IoT SaaS的工業設備管理平臺，該平臺可實現多種工業協議的標準化采集，目前已支持市面上所有主流的品牌廠商，包括西門子、施耐德、羅克韋爾、三菱等，同時可支持多種傳感器、逆變器等設備類型。
